Advice on RR Sport 2011
My lease is up on my DD and I am considering the purchase of a 2011 or a 2012 RR Sport if they are out in November. I am starting to look around at what is availible. It will be my daily driver and I expect to drive it 25K per year. I have never driven any SUV daily and have kept an Infiniti for winter weather and ski trips. I usually lease my DD and turn it every 3 years. Because of the special expemtions/deprecion on this truck due to weight I can considering purchasing it.
,So my questions:
1. How bad it the milage in the real world. I drive with a simi heavy foot.
2. Relaibility. I hear it has inproved, can anyone with a high milage 09, 10 or 11 chime in?
3. Anything I should know going into this?
Thanks in advance.

I have an 09 sport with 43k on it. Its the regular not the sc. I love everything about my truck except the gas mileage. But if you are able to purchase this truck then you can afford the gas. I get 12-14 with a heavy foot switching back andforth between sport mode and regular. The only warranty issues I've had is the motor on my front driver side seat. Its gone out twice. Now my truck may be the exceptionto the rule but it has been super reliable. I amrunning 22" redbourne dukes and can pretty much feel just about every bump on the road. Not bad but just an fyi. Inthe winter I have dedicated snow tires on my stock 19's. I LOVE this truck in the snow. I wont comment onexterior modes since everyone isdifferent.
My opinion is that you will love the sport as a From but hate the gas mileage. Get an extended warranty if you plan on packing on the miles and keeping the truck for a little while.
Oh and depending on how much stuff you have for your ski trips, you can use the range instead of the infiniti unless you have a QX56. I love my wife's QX for family road trips.

I've gone through a tank of gas in a night and there have been a few issues with the car, but get the extended warranty to take care of any issues. Its not the best car in terms of build quality or performance, but it is worth it. You should also consider the Range Rover.

My wife dailey drives our 2010 RR Sport Supercharged.
1. 13 MPG doesnt seem to matter heavy footed or not.
2. No issues with it at 23000 miles so far. Other than loose license plate light 2 dif. times.
3. Great improvement i think from the last gen. Interior is superb. Great handling vehicle.

Gas milage scare me. I do drive quite a bit, the expense is one thing, but filling up every day is a major hassle. How big is the tank? What kind of range do you see on an average tank?
The HSE is a very nice truck and if I needed additional space I would get it. I really like the lines on the sport before I pull the trigger I will also look at the Porsche. I spend 85% of my time alone in the car. I do need to take clients out to lunch and such but that is about it durring the week.
My curent DD is getting about 17 MPG in blended City/Highway drivng. On longer highway trips that jumps up to about 27 MPG. I love the looks, need to spend some hime behind the wheel.

You may want to consider looking at the new Range Rover Evoque they should be available next week or two and got great reviews from the guys at top gear.

Gotta love the rapid depreciation amazing what tax advantages are out there but I have a feeling the Evoque will not weigh enough but may be something worth discussing with your accountant. Supposedly excellent gas mileage though.
