Lol, 22's aren't the best setup to go offroading in. Unless of course that 22" wheel is wrapped in some crazy unorthodox super swampe
Any bit helps! I'm starting with a set of Yokohama's in 285/35/22, but will eventually go bigger with the 285/40/22.
This helps a lot! I love the look of that RR with the 285/40/22's! Once I've run through this first set of tires, I will definitely be picking up a set. Fender rolling has got me back to the days.... when I was trying to squeeze a 18x9.5 in an E36 M3 back in the day."Describe my personal style? my bad dog didn't mean to get your panties in a bunch as i don't care about how long anyone's modded what - it's a damn hobby where someone else will always know more and have more. honestly, this is my first rover and likely my last. plus i'm not even sure i can say i stand corrected (would gladly do so) because I still have no idea what hamann has done to load rate their universally used PG3 wheels from the 3 series to full size Rover. but i trust that they've done their homework given their history.
suffice to say, i adore Hamann products, but honestly never paid attn to their RR offerings as i associate them more with their sedan/coupe body of work. i'm in love with their X6M and fully consider their Edition Race wheels as the best looking in the market in my eyes.
so that i lend some sort of topic value here, i run the paradas in 285/35/22s right now so it's definitely not trending towards what you're looking for which is more meat. any bigger i'd be seriously concerned with straying too far from stock rolling diameter since these newer rovers are so "gizmoed" out added to the fact that Land Rover has one of the worst reliability records in the market. the 285/40/22s still look half arse. imho, if you're really going to go for the meaty look, go big or go home (i.e. seriously aggressive AT/MT tread).
Taza has stuffed some beefy tires underneath his FFRR w/ amazing results but i believe he's on dub quads. I have no idea how he gets by with no issues, but i'm sure he can directly testify. even my alignment guy gave me sh!t for running 22s.
good luck chief.Last edited by ROK; 07-01-2011 at 11:21 PM.

Sorry been away for a little bit...decided to chime in!! hehe
Trust me when I say I've looked high and low and places where you don't know wanna know! lol I really really really wanted to fit 285/45R22 Nitto Terra Grapplers on my rig. But unless you are prepared to do some major cutting and dicing there is no way in hell to fit those without a lift...johnson rods LR3 Lift Kit - Johnson Rods - Range Rover Sport Lift Kit
But I don't think they make any lift links for the full-size RR yet that are reliable.
Just for reference...my 285/50R20 Nitto Terra's barely and I mean barely clear the front STRUTS and fenders....it is a 31.2" tire...anything bigger and you will have rubbing issues. My buddy put some 285/55R20's and had to do some fairly major cutting...the thing is not when you are driving around town lightly...but when you go over speed bumps and big dips....the tires will dig into the fenders and makes an unbearable grinding sound. Honestly, if you can fit 285/45R22's (please let me know...I haven't been able to do a test fit yet).

UPDATE: Wheels are back from refinishing (changed from Chrome to Brushed finish). Going to get the wheels/tires mounted this weekend! I'll take pics once finished. Tires I decided to go with are 285/35/22 Yoko's. I want to try this set first and move up to the 285/40/22's or even bigger if possible.
