Default Feedback on '11 Defender 110 vs. 90

I'll be relocating to New Zealand in the next month and have begun searching for a new vehicle.

I'd like to get any owner feedback on the new defenders (110 vs. 90). My main questions are:
    - How comfortable is it for a DD
    - Any quirks I should be aware of
    - Anyone have the SVX edition
    - Thoughts on the 90 vs. the 110. I don't necessarily need the 110, but could be helpful for throwing stuff in the back, etc.
    - Any additional thoughts/comments appreciated.

Take the Defender 90. I don't know much about the 110 since I live in the US, but I have seen pics of the 110, and I have to say the 90 looks better overall.

I use one the odd time for towing trailers, the clutch and steering in both is very very heavy, the 90 is bouncy due the short wheel base but excels off road, top speed in reality is 50 mph, if you want I will get a full type up for you within the week.
No one gives it to you, You have to take it...

Check defender2.net! The best resource for Td5 and later models!

There's a modified defender by a small company in the UK called JE Engineering, which uses the 4.2 Supercharged engine found in the Range Rover and RR Sport. That thing it's a blast to drive! Absolutely insane! It's called the JE Zulu and it has like 460HP. Seeing that you need a ton of money to federalize an European diesel Defender, I guess a petrol one would be much handy!

The Zulu is awesome - I'd never seen it before! The Bowler Nemesis EXR (Bowler Nemesis EXR First Drive - Motor Trend) would be my SUV weapon of choice, but I'd kill for a 5.0 Supercharged Defender 90.

    Hello

I was lucky enough to try both aforementioned vehicles. The Nemesis EXR is a beast.

Out of all JE Engineering I got the chance to try (Zulu, Liberator and Saluki) the later one is my favourite as it is just what the Defender needed from Land Rover, a great, punchy diesel engine.

Of course 5.0L V8 power is great, but come on guys, this is a workhorse, not a muscle car.

Back to the original topic, after several Discoverys/LR3 and Range Rover L322, I was tempted to jump in the 110 Tdci bandwagon...

After 3 weeks of use as a DD, I had to admit this is really not practical (and I do not even live in the city)
Realistically, a Defender is a 3rd vehicle but you will enjoy every minute at the wheel!
