2001 Lifted RR 4.6 HSE + Custom Stereo... My OTHER Beast!
Just finished my 2008 ---> 2010-11 MY conversion last week (on another thread). I have been neglecting my other baby! Thought I would share for those of you interested! I have owned this beast since we bought it new in March of 2001. Only has 80,000 miles on it! Last year I was contemplating selling it and picking up a RR Sport but then thought to myself...she has treated me so well thus far...unlike some other P38 owners
Instead of selling it for less than 10K I decided to give her some new life and truly let her do what she does best....get dirty!! But what happend first was a mistake...put 22's on it....biggest mistake ever on this model....the differential did not like it!! lol Decided to ditch the 22's and time to have a dedicated off-road truck! Here is the end result....
1) 2" Old Man Emu (OME) lift w/new stainless steel brake lines
2) Fox Racing Shocks
3) 265/75R16 BFG KM2 Mud Terrains 32" tires
4) EBC Sport Brakes (Rotors + Green Stuff Pads)
5) Custom Stereo courtesy of La Jolla Audio
a) Focal KRX2's upfront, KR2's rear
b) Pioneer AVIC Z-120 Headunit (awesome...even has Pandora integrated.
c) 4 10" JL W3's in custom fiberglassed box so I can still fit my big azz spare in the trunk along with my other junk lol
d) Alpine PDX amps
e) Audison Bit One Processor
f) Back Up Camera + other goodies
At first.....

After.....

Stereo Install....

Flush with full trunk utilization!

there's just something about offroad tires on a range rover that looks great

Looks awesome man. My 2005 RR was lifted also, and I had a Disco II on 35's.

All these wheelin' pics I saw on RR.net made me want to take a few last week. Albeit, I live in San Diego, CA by the beach and unfortunately there are not too many places to go wheelin' around here unless you go out to the desert. Too bad I have been sooo busy with work lately. I will have to make time soon to enjoy my beast. Here are a few pics at glider point here in La Jolla.
