Vendors: Autobiography Rear Bumper Wanted
Vendors/anyone, I'm looking for an Autobiography rear bumper and/or the necessary part numbers (bumper, bumper pads, tips, etc.). RoverActive can't get the bumper, and my dealership can't verify the part numbers (I don't want to be stuck with a spare normal rear bumper). So, please PM me if you can get me the bumper or know the part numbers. I know these things can be hard to get, so I will fully commit and pay up front if someone can get one. Thanks!
Also, please don't tell me to just get something aftermarket - I've seen literally everything out there for this car, and I haven't yet to find a kit I like.'11 RRS Supercharged

I know you are looking for a Autobiography Sport rear bumper...check this guy out...based out of UK and is selling the Autobiography package for a full-size RR...it's called prestige bumpers...you could contact him and find out if he can source the bumper you are looking for...good luck.

it's gonna look whack with just the rear bumper dude unless you got something else planned for the sides and front, bud.
i saw an autobiography roll by yesterday and got a good look at the rear... i'm very glad i didn't go with that kit. hella conservative.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll let y'all know if this works.
I'm not sure what you mean by it not matching the sides - the stock sides painted are the exact same as the Autobiography. Also, it's the same overall height from the ground as the stock sides and front, so it will all match up when the lower trim is painted.
It's definitely a conservative look. I'm going to change the front at some point, but I don't like the current offerings. You and I just have slightly different taste (Startech isn't for me - front goes too low not matching the sides, and rear is awkwardly shaped IMO). That said, I'm not married to this look forever; when something better comes out, I'll make the switch, but right now this is my best option.
So, any other tips on finding the Autobiography rear would be appreciated.'11 RRS Supercharged

i think it's a given in real life i really don't give a mouse's arse about what you or anyone else does with their RRS but since we're here typing away...
no kit is going to give you that level profile from front to back and this includes the autobio. based on my hobbyist level research, the only thing that'll begin to address this "issue" is adding the factory side steps. not a good look, imo, so i passed and deal with the non-level lower lines. but ya can't fault folks like jonplayhard for going this route cuz his REVERE kit is a head turner.
i think the reason why aftermarket vendors, and you only have good ones to pick from in the land of Range Rovers, don't bother with it is because the stock sides look great so why mess which then means you're either going to keep the front and rear bumpers sitting higher which limits your ability to give it that hunkered down, bulldogish stance or say F it, we'll let this one slide and cope.
believe me, when people like yours truly decided to drop nearly 20% of the MSRP on what essentially is cosmetic surgery on an already good looking rig, you do your homework. and this doesn't even include the wheels!
so what you're gonna have is a truck with a rear bumper that's more aggressive than any other part of the body (hanging low or what you're so picky about) with who knows what exhaust tip you're looking for since you don't seem to be enamored with the square auto shape? you are literally going to try to fit a round peg into a square hole?
lol
no offense, this is fun for me, to critique people's oddball decisions along the automotive modification front.
if i did this to put food on the table, i'd be one hungry mofo since i'd crush a lot of egos simon cowell style.
p.s. if you find my post annoying, just tell me and i'll keep my mouth closed out of respect for u as a forum regularLast edited by ROK; 05-02-2011 at 07:27 PM.

I definitely agree as to the factory side steps - Kahn apparently thinks the same. I've almost pulled the trigger on an Overfinch kit a few times now too, but I can't get over the side skirts; the stock ones definitely look better. I'd rather an overall cleaner look than something super flashy like REVERE, but that's because I'm more conservative.
As for the Autobiography rear, it's really not too aggressive of a setup, and the Autobiography kit matches the stock side skirts better than anything I've seen:

The problem is I don't like the Autobiography front. I do have a problem with exhaust tips as you've correctly observed
. Unfortunately I do find myself trying to fit a round peg into a square hole, so it's going to take some experimenting. I'm even considering an Autobiography rear replica if I can't get an OEM - if I go that route, I'm considering molding it to fit tips I like... Don't worry, I won't let it come out looking ghetto.
Just have some faith in me on this one

i wish i had your patience!
you're totally right, the auto kit violates the keipher must-be-level-code the least, but i swear, if you were to see the startech, revere kits in person, you'd be like... i don't give a fly F these things look gangsta. it's amazing how differently these cars turn out when you're seeing it rolling by or parking lot pimpin yeaaaaahhhhhhh
presence is insane.
nevertheless, just make sure the vendor you get it from knows his/her business with LR parts because based on my research, the bumper isn't all one piece, it's got some oddball parts that may or may not be included like that silver section.
to keep you busy, i highly recommend getting the autobio grills (easily sourced). should've made every RR come with these.
good luck.

Have you considered the Startech rear bumper? It has integrated exhaust tips and looks GREAT with the factory side skirts...

I saw on RoverActive that those silver things are separate pieces, but thanks for the heads up. I've actually got the side vents, and I just had the stock grille painted to match for now. I definitely know what you're talking about with the Revere kit, but I just can't pull that look off - put it this way, I'm more of a Barbour jacket and khakis kind of guy than an Armani leather coat and dark jeans kind of guy.
I've definitely considered the Startech rear, but something looks off (no offense ROK). I think it's the way the add-on juts out backwards like the stock piece then juts out to each side as well. I want a rear bumper that flows all the way down in a straight line. Maybe I just need to see it in person, but fat chance that happens in SC
