Opinions Range Rover sport and supercharged models
Im buying a new Range Rover sport in the next few weeks.
I just wanted to get some feedback from both sides
Trying to decide between the base or the supercharged model.
I do like the idea of a somewhat more powerful truck but not completely sold on the idea yet.
Im coming from an LR3 now.
Thanks in advance guys!!Last edited by RAWMEAN; 02-14-2011 at 05:02 PM.

Buddy has '11 RR sport supercharged. It's big heavy terrible on gas and not as fast as my SRT8. But it damn near has the best interior I've ever had the pleasure to sit my ass in. Overall IMO it's probably 3rd on my list after the Cayenne Turbo and X5M.

Kinda agree with BacDoc. Cayenne or X5 over the RR sport. But if your sold on the range rover sport, i would go with the HSE LUX.

I say save the money and get the base model. It still has plenty of power and torque. I have had mine now for 3 years and it has been a great suv.

2011 Range Rover Sport
2012 Audi S4

Im a rover guy, its not in my plans to switch over to another make.
Ive driven the cayenne, Mercedes trucks, and none to my opinion drive as good as the rovers.
Ive been looking at the HSE lux but keep being indecisive if i should step it up and get something a little faster.
Resale value, and ease of sale, on the supercharged model might be better also when i go to sell the truck compared to the base.

performance-the sport
utility-the hse better suited for towing things
as soon as warranty is up dump it...rovers usually are good up to 50-60,000 miles then they become a pain in the ass....just my opinion...i could be wrong

Are you totally sold on getting a sport, or would you think about getting a full size rover?
Do you do a ton of offroading and trail driving?

Base model... I've had Cayenne Turbo's in the past, and thought when i bought the 08 RRS that I would be disappointed with the power.. the RRS is more than just speed and power..
I should've kept it and not return after the lease.. My next SUV purchase is prob another RR or Cayenne but wont be the most powerful version anymore, been there done that..or maybe I'm getting old..lol!

I've owned both, currently 2010 RRS SC. It really depends what kind of driver you are...for me, there is no doubt I would only buy SC going forward period. Don't forget you get a nice brake upgrade and drive dynamic program with the SC too, but again, depends what kind of driver you are...

Get the Supercharged - the HSE is underpowered IMO for such a heavy SUV.
'11 RRS Supercharged
'97 Defender 90
