Land Rover of Newport Beach and Mission Viejo
I just got shut off by a salesman at Land Rover - Jaguar of Newport Beach, CA.
I feel I got hosed by the service manager at Land Rover of Mission Viejo. He refuses to talk to me. And now a salesman from Newport Beach is involved and cutting me off.
After 3 years on the Board of Directors for the largest Land Rover Club in the country and 4 years of helping them with their off-road trips for new members, parking lot events and even the Newport Beach Grand Opening of their new building.... I have purchased 1 Jag and 2 Rovers and this is how I get treated....Just a little upset.
Honestly no concern after the sale....
This salesman is Heath Friedman

That sure doesn't help car saleman's image at all either. Is there a way to go over their heads & make some noise to a Rover shot caller?
And did you ever find your Rover?!"I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them" - John Wayne

I'm sure glad I sold my Rover.
You can do what this fellow did. get stickers made with your complaint and park it accross the street from LR.

Tell us more details. I had a run in at Mission Viejo. But then again the Service Managers nor GM's wants people like me hanging around the lounge when its packed with moms and rich kids. These guys are push overs and can be pushed just as easy as the next guy.

Let me add some more. These Land Rover dealers are never happy. They arent happy when your buying cars from them. They arent happy when you have to buy parts. They arent happy because they think who the !@#$ are you buying or driving a land rover.
Im Hispanic under 30 and have owned a few now. The last one I bought which was 2 months ago from Mission Viejo the the sales men playing games. These english guys just getting by. Every time I had to go there I drove up in a different car each one over 100k. By the time I had to sign they wanted me out of there. It was jelousy, envy and whatever they could think of.
I was the easiest customer. No haggle didnt try to negotiate the price...good credit they just had the exact car I wanted. On top of that the finance manager wanted to take me across the street for drinks.... Go Figure.

I must say for the record, This does not speak for all LR dealerships, I worked in service for a LR dealership for 2 years and have nothing but good things to say about the service and sales staff. I personally saw the ins and outs of all LR's and RR's and service issues but our Service dept was a very honest and courtous crew. We never had unsatisfied customers and I say this not as a employee but my mom bought a '09 RRSS and since has had no service issues or complaints about the car or the dealership.

Until last week, I praised them as well. here is the details that set me off:
Yes it is no secret that my Land Rover has been modified from factory.....About 6 months ago the suspension system quit working, I took it to Mission Viejo Land Rover in Orange County, and they repaired it and did a great job, great customer service then. So when it happened again. I had it towed back to them, only this time I was so far away that the roadside assistance would not cover the entire trip. I had to pay extra $200 just to get it to them, remember they did a great job last time…… After 2 days one of their guys called me and tells me that “last time it was too complicated and they lost money”, so they decided “we don’t want to work on it anymore”…. I understand that, a business should be able to make that decision. The problem is that they could have told me that the last time they did the exact same repair and I would not have paid extra to get it to them…. Next I had to get towed to the Orange County “expert” of Land Rovers (OC-Rovers).... I called the Roadside Assistance and was told “no problem” we just need it called in by the service manager because of paperwork…so I called the dealership, the service manager was too busy so I left a detailed message with one of the service personal to get to him, all he had to do is call the Roadside Assistance and call me back. Nothing, never heard from him again. I had to pay for a second tow, now I am out $450 because of this. I called and left another message, nothing….. I called and left a message for Ralph Rodriguez (the boss) and after 3 days nothing….. ...............This is where it gets really upsetting… I got on their facebook page and complained, I said I wanted someone to call me talk to me… One of their salesman (Heath Friedman) got their public facebook account and started (what I consider) publicly mocking me. One of his quotes “this is all you have to do?” Are you serious? I have a complaint and I ask for help, and a salesman replies with this….Next I tell him that I will come up there and stand until I get to talk to someone….. His next quote (and I have this in writing) “Let me know when u are at my store and I will bring you some water for the heat. Really not worried about any negative press. I have been with Land Rover for a very long time.” This is how they handle complaints………Oh yea,? Well FU2

I was thinking about gettin a Range, but all I hear are horror stories. Its a nice car and all but aside from the breakdowns you have to deal with douchebag salesmen like this. NO THANKS. Hope it all works out for the better Coy.
