    Sooo...how many have you owned?
We have used the Rovers as daily drivers AND weekend toys for many years with no major issues...The worst that happens to my XK is that the battery dies if it sits for more than a couple of days...on the other hand I briefly strayed from the Brits with a BMW 735i while I was in law school and it stranded me everywhere! My point about the exotics (can be temperamental also) is that if you LOVE the vehicle and love the lifestyle it is worth the effort...Looking forward to what TaTa has in store for us! BTW if it is under 40K miles it would all be under waranty and they give you free rental cars... so who cares???

I've heard from many people that those cars suck and are nothing but trouble. My co-worker had one for 1 month and his engine blew.

I have one in the garage Currently, a 08 RR Supercharged. 32k on the ODO and so far things replaced under warranty:

    Radiator (Cracked @19k)
    Transfer Case @ 29k
Steering wheel adjustment motor @ 9k

Not to mention all the non motorized things that keep breaking (i.e. visor clips/door handle grommets/ cup holders)

I care and so does almost every other consumer out there. I hate having to drop the car off at the dealership and getting a rental because it takes time out of my already busy schedule for an unnecessary trip. But to each is his own.

I wouldn't mind having a D90 in the garage as a weekend car though.

SRT8 is not exactly the most reliable car either.

You can't buy a british car thinking it'll be problem free. It's not german or japanese....

Except Lotus Elises because they have a toyota engine in them

Your defense of Rovers sounds completely biased and defensive. You can't argue with the sheer number of reported problems with Rovers. BTW, what's with the ellipses???

I do apologize, I truly did not intend for it to sound that way. I merely wondered if the issues were with one particular vehicle or model or if he had had a number of them. I personally prefer the “Discovery” “Defender” and “Country Classic” models, and any model of the Aston and the Jaguar from the former Premier Auto Group’s offerings. I have no affiliation with any dealer just a, perhaps misdirected, love of British Automobiles.

The intended point is that there are “lemons” out there and there are incompetent service technicians, I personal check every repair and check the engine for debris, shop rags, or other forgotten tools every time the dealer brings it back to me.

In the future I will be especially careful to monitor my grammar and thoroughly type out any and all words rather than resorting to ellipses to cover omissions or alternatives. Thank you for your consideration and patience in indulging a new member just learning her way around one of the most visually and intellectually stimulating forums I I have ever experienced.

With that said, if there is a Jag Tech from Bauer on here that is missing your snap-on ratchet with a 10mm socket, I found it wedged under the intake manifold. Be happy to return it if you'll admit you left it there.

i've heard that ranges have the highest cost of ownership of any car and that they are notorious for poor quality. now that being said i think they're gorgeous but idk if i would own one.
