New Guy With a Range Rover G4
Hello everyone, I am a new member here, I love L4P and the people that make it what it is.
Car:
I have a 2003MY (built in 2002) MKIII Range Rover Vogue that was used in the North American legs of the 2003 G4 Challenge. If I have my facts correct, Land Rover made 30 of these, 22 in right hand drive and 8 in left hand drive (which this is). I got it in the Bay Area in February, and have been daily driving it ever since. Everything on it is original except Land Rover removed the Warn lights from the push bar, so I added OEM Land Rover driving lights. Also I have added window tint (it had no tint on any of the windows including the rear), Valentine 1, Garmin, police scanner, etc.
Me:
I am 18 (have had a part time job for the last 3 years) and currently in my first year of college in Mankato, MN. I had a MB CL55 AMG for about 2.5 years, but I decided that I wanted something that could hall more things and people, so I got this.
I will try to post some better pictures next weekend when I clean it.
Thanks!
Alex

Congrats on having a car I always loved.
Hopefully I'll find and get one too, that isn't terribly overpriced.
Anyways, welcome to the 4.2000 BMW M5 Avus Blue

Thank you.
I looked for about 2-3 years for a RR G4 and I finally found this one. I always keep an eye out for unique/rare Land Rovers, so I'll let you know if anymore come up for sale here in America.

Nice. Almost bought one back in 2005 myself. Get some action shots in the dirt!

So you are a college student with a part time job and you can afford a Range Rover and had an AMG!
How??
Are cars that much cheaper in the states that any 18yo semi employed college student can afford such luxury cars?
Great car buy the way and excellent taste, but I don't get how an 18yo can afford it!

Nice ride! I saw a G4 replica at one point that had black wheels - it looked absolutely amazing. Think about it...

Thanks everyone!
I will get this thing dirty, but it might be a while from now because there aren't many trails close to the Twin Cities or Mankato.
LOL, I worked my butt off for the last few years, and my parents have been a big help.
I have seen several replica G4 Defenders on Ebay Motors UK, and they are next to perfect. But if I went with getting or making a replica, I would go for Camel Trophy or import an actual Land Rover that was used in the Trophy (my future goal).

Scratching my head and counting on my fingers over here. OP mentions being 18, why I don't know (look at me, look at me) . States you had a MB CL55 AMG for 2.5 years. When did you get your license?
