In Malaysia, what professions and fields are the buyers of exotics most likely to be in? Similar to much of the rest of the world - banking/finance/electronic industry? I'd imagine the majority of these cars are in Eastern Malaysia where the main economy is - never been to Sarawak/Sabah.
Just looking at the prices of these and they're easily 3X the price what we pay here in Canada. And I thought we were expensive.
I've read on other exotics forums that the Malays would either take these cars and drive them around Singapore where its safer. They mentioned its not uncommon for even inattentive drivers in Mercedes to get jumped by bandits. The road construction is quite nice, but its the killer traffic at 22 hours each day.
That being said, it seems Ferrari and Porsche have a larger brand awareness there - its not until Lambo dealerships have sprung up - much like the one you have visited. Is the general public more brand aware of Ferrari and Porsche - especially Ferrari with their brand presence at F1 in Malaysia - than Lamborghini?Last edited by Fashion Cat; 01-15-2012 at 07:18 PM.
