Can the Lamborghini Gallardo only be driven in manual?
Hi!
I heard that Gallardo's do not have automatic modes so once you put the car into D, you have use the paddles to shift. Apparently you cannot drive the car in full automatic mode. Is this true? Does the Murcielago have the same system? Thank you.

There's a button for automatic in the Gallardos so yes, you can drive it in auto. I hear it takes a slightly larger toll on the clutch though.
Murcielagos DO have an automatic mode (most people are unaware of this) however there is no button for it. It's gotten to from a combination of paddle clicks, etc. I cannot remember the pattern off the top of my head but I've seen it done before. You see a mousetrap - I see free cheese and a f*$king challenge

Yes Gallardo's have a manual mode, but it sucks dick and highly not recommended.

Maybe what the OP is thinking about is that on a pre-LP560 G, when you start in Auto mode, and THEN use the paddle shifter, the car reverts back to full manual mode?
To go back into Auto mode, you have to press the Auto button again. A real pain. I heard that that was to be changed on the LP560, but not sure if it happened. The LP560 can be driven in Auto much better than a pre LP560."Life is too short to drive a car the color of pavement."
