    Default BULL or a HORSE???

I'm posting this in the lambo section, as it seems there are more lambo folks on this forum, and wanted to get some opinions. I'm on a search for an F-car vs a Lambo...basically a 360 or 430 vs a Gallardo...either would be a Spider.
My wife would drive it as well. This would be a weekend car...basically for fun.
Not looking for which is faster (already have a track toy), but overall appeal.
Both are great marques but which would you go for?

    2012 LR4

    2005 Lotus Elise (track rat!)

First, a 360 vs 430, two completely different cars ... One is expensive to maintain and even more expensive if you don't, the other is just expensive. A gallardo is ok, the clutch replacement is a bit of a joke. If it were up to me I'd get a 430 all day, everyday.

Gallardo is the biggest Jekyl/Hyde car I've ever encountered. It can be very docile, comfortable, quiet and reasonable or screaming, firm, and outrageous.

Ferrari is kind of a one-trick pony. But the 430 spyder is sweet. . . and the 360 is a good car for $60/70k; but expect acceleration to be on par with a boxster.

What year are you looking at and whats your budget?
A 04-06 G is very different from an 08+ G... also the f430 was a big advancement over the 360

Have you considered dropping a car plus some cash and going for a F458?

I agree with you except the part of the acceleration. If you have driven these car you would have known.A proper serviced/maintained 360 smokes the current BMW M3.Also beats any Boxster or Carrera.
To the point now.Lamborghinis are good cars but with lots of problems.More than Ferrari's.But with the Lambo you can use spare parts from Audi, which is cheapper...I would definitely hit a stalion, not a bull but the choise is yours...

Porsche is not in the same leage with ferrari or lamborghini...but i do not think a 360 can beat a porsche turbo..turbo s.. gt2..gt3 RS....Also i would go for the coupe version..as i think especially for ferraris..they are much more beautiful in the original coupe version.

    A 360 would get SMOKED by a turbo, turbo S, GT2, GT3RS . . . LS3 Corvette.

I was embellishing with the Boxster comment, but not by much.

Well, except the 911 turbo. But it is not fair to compare the standard 360 with the GT3 RS etc.Take the 360 CS if you want a racing car.Or the 430 Scuderia. Both are better than the Porsches according to the motor jurnalists worldwide. And i'm not talking only for 0-60 mph times.
Nick,we are talking abouth REAL CARS here.I don't see how a Corvette belongs here.

The 360/standard 911/Boxster Spyder all trap about 109mph.

'06+ (non LP560) Gallardo is in the 116mph range.

'10+ 911 Turbo is in the 125mph range.

    That's a big difference.
