Default what makes the Murcielago vary in price

So, not that i could afford one, but i was browsing ebay tonight and was looking at the prices of Murcielagos and was wondering what makes them vary so much in cost. i saw some from as low as 120k to 200+. What makes these things vary so much ?

Options list (color exterior, color interior, upgraded brakes), year (earlier ones had some electric issues), miles, issues, last maintaince, wear and tear, etc.

Pretty much the same thing as any other car on the market.

I've been looking myself, and have noticed the same thing. Talked to a salesman today on an 06 with less than 2k on the clock. He suggested buying 06 or newer because of some common issues with anything earlier. Also said never buy a roadster. The tops are horrible and nearly useless.

That salesman is an idiot, or just wants to sell you that '06 at any cost.

The only difference between 02/03 cars and the rest of the 580 cars is the throttle body control and ECU tuning. Neither of which has a negative effect on the reliability of the car (02/03 are considered to make more power because of the tuning). The throttle bodies on the early cars must be tended to more often and require the dealer to reset them when they become out of sync. I spray mine with throttle body cleaner once a month, that's it.

Roadster is a great car if you truly don't need a top. The top functions very well, but it should not go beyond 100mph, is difficult for some to put on, and offers a lower level of security than the coupe.

Funny how some talk to dealers and take it as the word.

    Sort of like:
all Gallardos need clutch changes every 5k miles and it cost $15k.
early Murcielagos have a ton of issues
You have to fly both cars back to Europe for servicing

the list goes on and on.......

I tend not to believe anything a salesman tells me. But this guy told me what I stated above, and later added he personally wouldn't want to own one because of the terrible blinds spots, and just difficulty to drive, and more-so, park. He gave me pros and cons of many different cars. Told me of particular cars they even have to stay away from.
Seemed very honest as opposed to many other of these clowns I spoke with. I had one Jackass tell me my 2010 V10 R8 is like comparing his 2008 superleggera to a Picasso and George Foreman grill. What an asswipe statement!
