Asthetically they are similar but the AWD and the sound of the VR6 just add so much to the package. I wouldnt go FWD if I didnt have to even in a dry climate.

I honestly thought I would hate the DSG but I really love it for a DD, especially after doing the HPA DSG stage II flash (faster shifts under load, LC raised to 5200rpm, manual is truly manual) the car held 4 people was small for the city a blast to drive made all the right noises and I enjoyed the undercover aspect as well. I was really dissapointed that the TTRS and the Golf R were announced as manual only for the US as DSG became perfect for my 100 mile round trip commutes.
