Thread: New Top Gear USA Clip Shows Trio Racing Lamborghinis

Ugh. Everything they say sounds so scripted and forced. It will definitely be cheesy as hell, as is everything involving tanner foust. With USA being so commercialized, I wonder if they will actually be honest about the cars and critique them harshly like Top Gear UK, or will History force them to rave about everything so they will not compromise sponsorships/advertisers.

Where's the link to watch the full episode? I can't imagine you guys are all speculating and assuming that it's awful without actually seeing it.

I dont know who the other 2 guys are, but Tanner is a good dude, and actually is a pretty good "car journalist" as well as a driver.. I know for sure i would love an american version of Top Gear, even if it did suck id still watch for the cars and the test they put them through..

Exactly. I don't really know much about Rutledge Wood, but Adam Ferrara is a friend of mine and he is hilarious.

I'm as big a TG UK fan as anyone. I have every episode of the new series on disc and I've been watching it since the mid 90's with presenters like Quentin Wilson, Tiff Needell, VBH. When Andy Wilman was a presenter, not the producer and when the Jeremy Clarkson was the young, edgy guy that wore leather jackets and had a fro. With that being said, I will give TG America every chance before I decide whether or not it is any good. The show may very well stink, but I will reserve any criticism until after I see a few full episodes. Even our beloved TG UK had some stinkers.

Top Gear UK becomes truly great once you get to know the presenters and their personalities/tendencies. I will give TG America the same chance before I make any damning statements about the show.

Maybe it will just take a while for them to click and hit their stride. It probly deserves a chance but they certainly dont have the Chemistry of the UK crew.
