    Default Museum Lamborghini

So the wife and I are headed out to Italy in late Sept. We were thinking of making a stop in Sant'Agata Bolognese to visit the Museum Lamborghini.

We just picked up a Superleggera earlier this year, so would really like to see the factory, but aren't sure if it's worth the time.

Has anyone on L4P been to the factory? Is it possible to arrange for a behind the scenes tour or something a bit more out of the ordinary? Is it even worth making the trip out?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts...

Have you seen the thread stickied at the top of the Lamborghini forum?

    or the search button?
You know that guy LAbull on L4P, that's me, Brendan. Warning: If I typed it and it seems a bit off, it's probably SARCASM.

Factory tours are cancelled while the production line is being changed for the Jota. The museum is really cool. I was there a few months ago and spent a good amount of time just wondering around. It isn't that big, but if you have a Lamborghini I really think you should check it out if you can.

Are you going to take a train to Bologna then a cab there? Are you renting a car while you are there?

Shoot me a PM if you would like.

Thanks, this and the link above have been greatly helpful. Really disappointed to hear the factory tours are cancelled. I don't suppose there is any possibility of sneaking in or getting a ride around their test track.

We have a private car arranged for us, and were thinking driving from Florence to Bologna on the 26th of Sept. The 27th we'd reserve for the lamborghini factory, but with it closed I'm wondering if we should just spend more time on the Amalfi Coast or Lake Como.

Thanks again for the helpful thoughts.

Since the factory is closed for visits, I dont think its worth while to go there just for a museum visit. I was in all areas that you mentioned last May and while the food is amazing in Bologna, I'd rather spend more time in Almafi or Como. have a great trip.

I don't think you will be able to get in... They cancelled the VIP tour which I was going to do as well. Ultimately, its just the museum and boutique. However, you never know what could happen! I introduced myself to the woman who runs the tours and such when I was there and ended up with nearly $200 worth of gifts A little gesture, but made the experience that much better.

You could go to Tonino's museum at Dosso di Cento, only about 20km from the factory with all the old prototypes as well.

The Ducati factory is on the way up there as well. Maserati is around there somewhere too and Ferrari is a little further NW I believe. Just some options.

We took the train from Florence to Bologna, should be a beautiful trip.

I didn't go to the places you mentioned, however you could make a day of it and go to a few automotive factories as well!

Keep us posted with what your plans are!

    Safe travels!
