    Default Update

Sorry all as I was collecting information about the races, dates and whatever related to Supertrofeo in general.

As I understand the next race is set for July 3rd and 4th at Paul Recard, France. The European dealers have the chance to invite their clients to a day on the track arriving on the 2nd for being able to drive on the track prior to the main race. This event is catered with Supertrofeo Caps and lanyard as gifts for the VIP participants. I can not wait for the races to come to our soil.

Lamborghini Supertrofeo and supertrofeo races are amazing.

look at this video I made.

there is a strange Lamborghini, an LP560-4 with the bodykit of a Supertrofeo, I think is very rare.

post your opinion both on youtube and in the forum, to know your different views about this car

    Default Race day regualations

As I am reading the genral information about a typical race day in the world of Supertrofeo at Hockenheim circuit, I see the following note:

No animals are permitted anywhere within the circuit. No U16’s are allowed within any restricted area, which includes the pits, assembly area, start line and other areas carrying warning signs. Please observe a 10km/h speed limit, which is in force at the Hockenheimring
in all public and paddock areas. Failure to observe the speed limit may result in the offending vehicle/driver being removed from the circuit by the organisers. Motorcycle/scooter/quad-bike riders ride at their own risk and take responsibility for their own safety. Super Trofeo strongly recommends the use of a helmet.

LOL, I love the "animals" and "U16" in the same sentence, lol, and 10kmph(6mph) speed limit as well as the usage of helmets. Dont you love Germans?

Default LAMBORGHINI CONTINUES ITS POLE-SETTING STREAK

    Media information: 20 June 2010

Lamborghini continued to set the pace in the FIA GT3 European Championship by securing its third pole position in as many race weekends as the series travelled to Jarama, Spain, on
19 June 2010. Team Argo Racing driver Albert von Thurn und Taxis set the fastest lap time during Saturday’s first qualifying session, guiding the team’s #25 Lamborghini Gallardo
LP 560-4 race car around the Spanish race track.

The German driver set the fastest lap time of 1:33.443 during the first qualifying session, edging out championship leader Daniel Keilwitz by 0.250 seconds. From the front row of the grid, von Thurn und Taxis fought for the lead with BMW driver Meyr-Melnhof at the start of race one: Meyr-Melnhof managed to squeeze past him but the Lamborghini driver regained the lead within a lap and began building a comfortable gap from the rest of the field.

At the halfway stage von Thurn und Taxis entered the pits to hand over to team-mate Giorgio Sanna. The Italian rejoined the race but instantly faced heavy pressure from the hard-chasing pack. Sanna defended well but as the battle with Corvette driver and second-place man Christian Hohenadel heated-up, the pair made contact and the Italian driver spun, causing him to fall down the order to finish seventh.

In the second race the Argo Racing duo fought an uphill battle as a technical issue during qualifying caused Sanna to start round six from 23rd place on the grid. At the green light Sanna charged off the line, a strong drive improving the team’s position by six places before the pit-stop. Von Thurn und Taxis then took over the #25 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 and managed to climb to 14th place, but an on-track incident caused an unscheduled pit-stop, which meant he finally crossed the finish line 17th.

“The car was at its peak: the track suited it very well!” said von Thurn und Taxis. “Giorgio was unlucky as contact with the Corvette caused him to spin, but the overall the pace was great. I think at Paul Ricard we have the chance to finish on the podium.”

Von Thurn und Taxis is currently fifth in the championship with 42 points, with Argo Racing second in the teams’ standings with 80 points, trailing the current leaders by just eight points.

Rounds seven and eight of the FIA GT3 European Championship will take place at Paul Ricard HTTT, France, on 3-4 July 2010.

MIK CORSE CHARGE TO TRIPLE WIN
    Media information: 5 July 2010
Italian team MIK Corse secured all three victories in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series at Paul Ricard HTTT, France, on 3-4 July 2010. Drivers Fabio Babini and Albert von Thurn und Taxis guided the team’s #22 Super Trofeo race car around the French circuit to claim 45 points, elevating MIK Corse from fourth to second in the Teams’ Standings.
Also competing at Paul Ricard this weekend was former Ferrari Formula One driver Stefan Johansson, who got behind the wheel of the #1 Automobili Lamborghini VIP car with team-mate Peter Wyss. The pair claimed sixth and fifth-place finishes in rounds seven and nine respectively while a collision in round eight forced them to retire.
Football fans were also catered for as France’s former national goalkeeper and 1998 FIFA World Champion Fabien Barthez piloted the #2 Automobili Lamborghini together with French sports car star Anthony Beltoise. The duo secured sixth, seventh and ninth-place finishes during the weekend.
