    Default Tissot Seastar 1000 Chronograph

Just purchased this earlier this month when my local AD took delivery of this model. The review section has been fairly well forgotten, so I thought I'd try and revive it a bit.

The Seastar is a line from Tissot that was discontinued some years ago. I believe the line started back in the 1960's. This year, Tissot has relaunched the line. In my opinion, Tissot has always been a leader in Swiss watches, especially in the affordability realm. They've always fallen short in style points in my book. This may be a sign of things to change for this company, founded in 1853 by a father and son team.

    Features:
    48 mm Diameter
Chrono with screw down pushers (as well as screw down crown)
    Date function
1000 Foot WR with sapphire crystal
    Helium Valve
    Rubber strap with tang buckle
    Exhibition case back
    Retails at 1225 USD
    Automatic movement (C01.211)

At this price point, this one is hard to beat. Some may say the movement is a step down from the 7750 that was previously used in the Tissot chrono's. However, price reflects the change.

Its very comfortable on the wrist, despite its bulkiness. Not only is the 48 mm diameter large, the height (over 17 mm) is noticeable. However, it remains comfortable. The rubber strap (optional bracelet) adds to the comfort as well as convenience with sport activities.

Model is also available in non-chrono, but is significantly smaller at 42 mm. Onto the pics.

Good stuff! One of my heirloom watches is a 10k Tissot automatic, not even water-resistant, with a bubble crystal. Anyways, they're great watches!

Very nice...love the hands and the case looks like a sandwich. It's also pimpin' ETA's new movement which is designed to bring quality and affordability to the chrono market as the 7750 price has skyrocketed.

It's really great watch and new arrival, I am also a big fan of watches and having 10 + different type of branded watches but unfortunately I haven't get a single Tissot watch yet. But after this review I am looking forward to this one.
