Default Help! I need a some advice from someone who really knows tires!!!

I am taking my car (Lamborghini Superleggera) to the track tomorrow morning bright and early. I was just now going over everything and decided to take another closer look at the tires.

Look what I discovered on the front driver side sidewall!!!! Little cracks where the sidewall meet the tread. CRAP!!!!!

My question is would you run the track on these? Are the dangerous? Could they blow out? The track is Big Willow and Big Willow equals High Speeds.

Please take a look and let me know your thought as soon as you can.

I'm trying to leave at 5am tmrw.

    Thanks so much..

Maybe saw this too late, but what is the date code on the tires? Or, do you know how old they are?

They are from are originals on my 08 Superleggera. As much as it killed me not to go I decided skip the track day. They are PZero Corsas I'm going to replace all 4. Any suggestions? I want to do some track days but still run it in the canyons and around town.

    Thanks!

If not going with a super soft DOT-R compound tire, I would strongly recommend the new Michelin Pilot Super Sports. These are quite a step forward and feature a dual compound tread -- harder in the middle and inside sections for improved wear and much softer on the outer section for maximum grip. They perform better and last twice as long as previous Pilot Sports. I'm not sure where you are located, but we can probably help you with the Michelin's or Pirelli's as we work very closely with both companies.
