    Default FIA tests new cockpit canopy for F1 Cars

    Taken from the aerospace industry, FIA tested a typ of canopy taken from a F-16 fighter for F1 cars. By firing a tire with 140mph against the current in use windshield and the possible future version, the deflection and damage done was tested.



    The result looks amazing, but I hope it never makes it onto F1 cars since I think open cockpits are a key part in Formula 1

    Nice video, don't worry as Formula cars are always with open cockpit..

    Luckly we can laugh on this sad things now...but I'm sure that Massa would love the
    F-16 cockpit instead of the open one..
