    Default LMS

does anyone else feel that diesel has made ALMS, ELMS, and ILMS a lil more boring. think back to the late 90's, races weren't as one sided.

1998: Porsche gt1, MB clk gtr, toyota gt1, nissan r390, mclaren f1, panoz gt1, you watch and any one of them were competitive and at the start could win the race, now...

2011: Audi r18 and Peoguet 908, that's it, nothing else in the class seems to stand a chance if either of those are on the track. just look at this years Le Mans 24hrs, they occupied the first 6 spots of the starting grid for factory backed teams, and i think the top 10 for privateers and factory. it's just boring to me.

anyone think they should have they're own class?

I don't think having their own class would help. The other Mfg. just don't want to spend the $$$ to compete in P1 at all. Although Porsche and Toyota are coming back in 2013 or 2014. I would like to see the others use the class to develop diesel technology for road cars.
Madness takes a toll. Please have exact change...

i think where the development hurts is most diesel street cars use 4cyl. only the germans sell em in america.

i thought toyota backed a team this year, same with honda, or were they in P2?

porsche is gonna use the hybrid tech in the 2014 P1 car, i don't think(based on zytek) will be competitive.

If Porsche cannot make the hybrid technology competitive they will not use it, plain and simple. They are not going to field a car that they know won't turn competitive lap times.
