The Starting Grid Kick-off Luncheon
Join us at The Starting Grid, the inaugural FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX celebration, on Thursday, November 1, from 11:30am to 1:30pm at the Hilton Hotel in downtown Austin.
This will be the first -- and one of the most exciting -- events leading up to race week. Two-time Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Ron Howard will be the event's special guest speaker. Howard will give luncheon attendees an inside look at his upcoming epic-action drama, Rush, which features the story of James Hunt and Niki Lauda.
Texas Governor Rick Perry, Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell and Circuit of The Americas founding partners, Red McCombs and Chairman Bobby Epstein are also expected to address luncheon attendees.
Tickets for The Starting Grid start at $55 per person or $500 for a table of 8 and may be purchased online at Ticketmaster.

there are actual COTA parties (concerts) - then Sunday downtown at the Bob Bullock Museum (they rented the entire place).
