    what happens to the cars/trucks used at various tracks during a race weekend? example, i'm watching long beach alms, they have several cheyennes for assistance, where do they go after the weekend? are they alms owned?

    most get auctioned locally as "program" cars

    many are marketing vehicles, preproduction vehicles, engineering vehicles and the sort. The pace cars also tend to be the same.

    Many get treated badly and get crushed.

    Depends on the manufacturer. Most are demo cars.

    Most get crushed, unfortunately. If you look close, the VINs are usually rather odd. I believe they are not legally allowed to sell them. Its 'Cayenne' by the way .
