    Anyone else excited for this years rally? It looks like there are a few new players.

    Mini: MINI All4 Racing rollout | Dakar Rally

    Robby Gordon will be fielding three (!) Hummers this year. One for him, one for former F1 driver Eliseo Salazar and one for a yet un-named driver.

    An Argentinian team: PANEUS 4X4 Off Road

    Then there is this thing. Supposedly a full carbon Hummerish body on a mostly Toyota running gear.

    I love the race!! Some day I hope to attend, if there is such a thing. Maybe volunteer to work on a support crew or something.

    Looks like Robby Gordon had a mechanical and has dropped over an hour to the leaders in stage 2. Unless a lot of other have some major issues, he is not going to contend for a top five finish.
