Found this on Planet F1, they are having a pretty good go at Vettel about all this. I used to be a huge Vettel fan, and this the past season has really left a sour taste in my mouth with him. I think he would do well getting a psychologist to help him deal with the immense pressure he is under. I think his mental racing is just not up to snuff compared with the rest of his racing skill.-Frederick

First Vettel isn't "my boy." I've always held hard criticism to his too big of a head mistakes mid season. Fact is though he's a MUCH better driver than Hamilton when he's having a good day and we will only see him get better as long as he gets out of the whatever la la land he's in right now.
Hamilton won a championship, so? It was in the dullest of seasons with no real talent playing for a championship. Hamilton is not aggressive, in F1 if you're not a dangerously aggressive driver you won't go far in my opinion. That's why Senna, Schumacher, etc were all so great.
Hamilton has ALWAYS had the best of the best, I want to see him drive in a lower team and do any type of damage, he simply wouldn't perform. He's use to being pampered and having everything handed to him in the best forms that if it came down to him needed to perform without the best items available he would fall flat on his face.
Talk to anyone in F1 and it's always been the thought that Hamilton isn't nearly as made up and everyone wants him to be. Is he good? Yes, very. Is he the best? No. Can he perform? Yes. Can he win multiple championships? No.

Vettel can NOT race wheel to wheel I feel that he is only fast in qualifying when he is out by himself and when he is alone during a race. And Senna and Schumacher.. They didn't win just because of their talent, look at the teams they were on while they were on top.
EDIT: Hamilton does seem like a cocky douche though. He always has seemed that way to me. And he does seem truly ungrateful for being on a great team and having a competitive car. But I won't deny his skill.Last edited by MMR; 08-31-2010 at 07:11 PM.
