(yes, it's hard, so is nascar) anyways, this thread has basically become one of those mac vs pc, liberal vs conservative, man vs woman threads - no one will be convinced otherwise of their opinions.

    I agree Chuck.

The only point I was trying to make by posting the example videos (can't believe I forgot WRC!), is that there is a lot more out there in motorsport that is equally, if not more exciting to watch than nascar - IMO. I do not mean to diminish the skills involved. I just find it a boring spectacle - with the exceptions of the road courses - Watkins Glen and the Busch race in Montreal. Even the Sears Point (Infineon) race is not super exciting.

I'm also a fan of NHRA and a huge fan of MotoGP and World Superbike.

I forgot about it too. I believe as far as overall driver skill and car control, F1 and WRC are the kings. Blasting inches from trees at 90+ mph in the snow and dirt. Beats the hell outta circling a track. F1 was great back in the 90s and still is but i miss those v12s. Drifting is fun to watch as well. lots of crashing that you can enjoy due to not driving fast. Love it.

That is partially due to the fact that they take out the best part of the course, the Carosel and instead they have a downhill straight away.
