Thread: GTR850 ARRIVES APRIL 20th

My GTR is nearl track ready and will be 90% ready for its first full track set up outing on April 22. We have some rotors, pads, and adj sway bars going on. We also hope that the new 19 in rims and r compound tires arrive by then.

Final testing will begin very soon after its fun dry run at Willowsprings on the 22nd. We would like to invite all L4P members to come out and help or just watch at the testing sessions that will begin after the 22nd outing at tracks ranging fron Laguna, to Thunderhill, to Willowsprings, to Buttonwillow.

The car has not yet had th suspension dialed in and has yet to be fitted with the 19's, but we are very very close. The list of modifications is longer than I can even list and the car is not done evolving.

With the help of a silent partners we will begin project serios badass weight reduction shortly after the car's return as we gear up for one of the US firsts true widebody R35's that is actually going to be more than a pretty thing to stare at!

I want t thank all of L4P for the support and I will be posting a HUGE build thread soon... but I think it is the race data people want to see. MMR and Robbie will be piloting this beast around the track and I will be co piloting it with an edito from UK Evo magazine on this years Gumball 3000. So if there are any of you with doubt of the reliability of a 850 hp r35 ... well let's just say you will have your answer one way or another after Gumball!

Ill warn you guys... it is not complete yet... just good enough to run at 80% and dial in the suspension and new active wing. But, by the end of May Gdzilla will take his rightful place at the podium !!!!

that's awesome man. is there any other GTRs with more power? I haven't heard of any just yet.

well... depends who you ask... I am not claiming most powerful anymore mainly because the car is being campaigned so I would be giving away my powerlevel. Let;s just say that 850 is a pretty safe low sided estimate. But until my block is done I am not going to push it too far beyond where I am at. The reality is anything above 650 whp takes away alot of the neutral handling characteristics the car has. The answer isn;t more power, it is better tires... which just plain aren't available yet.
