Default Austin F1 GP Hotel thread

I need hotel rates!!! LOL Ill admit this year has been tough cash flow wise and Id prefer to keep my trip on a budget. $600 in hotel charges for Austin, Texas (Sorry natives, no offense) is just out of my mind. Ill be spending little time in the actual room anyways. Austin has so much to offer, no reason to stay in bed and sleep in a city like that!

Anyone have a clean/decent hotel in the area? I dont mind a 20-30minute drive.

Thanks L4P! Hope to see you all there!

PS. NO motel 6 replies please..

I sure didn't see $200/night. I'd take that in a heartbeat, if I were you.

The hotels were so ridiculous, my friends and I ended up finding something on AirBnB.

    See you guys there!

We have booked and paid for 2 hotel rooms for the grand prix weekend from the 16th to the 19th (3 nights).

One of the rooms is a single and one is a double room. We won't be able to use it but since it is already paid for we can't cancel it either. We already got in touch with the hotel, and we can change the name on the booking. The hotel is in the north west area of Austin and it's easy to get downtown. The rooms are studio rooms with a kitchen area and a living area so you can make your own meals if you wanted to.
$150 per room per night - Total is $900 for all three nights for two rooms (if you only want one room, please let me know and we can try and find an arrangement). For more information on the hotel, please contact me and I will send you the link and the address.
