    He most likely lost it going up the hill, as you can see he was not in control (or racing line) going in. Happens often there, and ends up in these types of crashes. The rumble strips are to be taken lightly!

    Yes, traction can be a little light on approach so if you aren't braking and in control early, you can completely overshoot the corkscrew.
