Any dwarf car racers out there?
I think I'm going to purchase a dwarf car when I get done with my overseas work and start racing a few times a month. Any of you guys race dwarf cars? Will I have the first L4P decalled dwarf? lmao

They are quarter scale cars with metal bodies that replicate 30's and 40's Chevrolets and Fords and use up 1200cc motorcycle engines. Raced on dirt tracks or asphalt at local raceways. Compared to running a full up race car, they are very cheap to maintain and race and quite fast.

Here is a company in Phoenix that builds them. Dwarf Car Company,Inc. index.htmI first heard about them from some local race shops while I lived there and then looked into it. The best part is you can race a full weekend for 100 bucks or less. If you youtube "dwarf car pahrump" some kid posted his dad's hd video from his go pro helmet cam. You get a sense of how quick and fun they are. Through one of the sites I found, up in Northern Nevada, they had a 10k purse for one of the big dwarf car events.
I was looking into buying a rally car and doing some semi pro racing, but like most recreation racing, it really is a money pit. I think some circle track racing in a dwarf car would be just as fun and way more fiscally manageable.Last edited by The New Black; 05-13-2012 at 10:26 PM.
