A Quote To Start Your Day And Think Outside The Box
A co-worker of mine writes a quote everyday to help all of us threw the tough time's out in the world today. Thought I would share them with all of you.
"Are You Willing To P.U.S.H. Through It?"
Football season is on its way. All over the country, players are working out, reading play books and doing drills to prepare themselves mentally and physically for the gridiron. They push their minds and bodies to the limit so they won't give up when the going gets tough. Have the challenges or ordeals of life pushed you to the limit? Are you ready to throw in the towel?
In life, we encounter challenges or situations that pushes us into a corner. Instead of fighting, some of us concede to defeat and throw in the towel. God wants us to P.U.S.H., Pray Until Something Happens. Prayer allows us to get support from a power greater than ourselves. Ask God to make a difference in your life. Pray and focus on God, believe that the miraculous can occur. He will be sure to show up and show out!
I Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.

"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems,
but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort."

"Can You Stand To Be Corrected?"
One of the hardest things to admit is being wrong. Whether we are debating a call on the playing field or arguing with a spouse, we will fight to the bitter end. Have you ever stood your position on an issue to find out in the end that you were wrong?
God has a motive for correcting our behavior. It is through our mistakes that we become more savvy in living. We can't learn or understand God's life lessons if we focus on our rebuttal to His discipline. Listen and humble yourself to the voice of God. Allow God to speak wisdom into your heart and soul. The Lord corrects us because He loves us.
Proverbs 3:11-12 My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor detest His correction; for whom the Lord loves He corrects, just as a father the son in whom he delights.

I like this one...
"you were born an original, don't die a copy"
-unknown
makes you stop and think that you should do things your way in life. No one is perfect, and no one has all the answers, so why try to be like everyone else? Be yourself and things will happen for better or worse, but they will happen for you!

It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything.

"Are You Encouraged?"
Everyday it seems like we are hearing about or personally experiencing death, destruction, and disasters. If you watch the news or read the news paper it looks as if we will never escape these events. However, even in the darkest of times we have someone we can trust through it all. His name is Jesus. Are you feeling down because of some unforeseen circumstance? Do you need encouragement to make it through the day?
In William Becton's song, "Be Encouraged" he sings, "Be encouraged no matter what's going on, He'll make it all right, but you gotta stay strong. I know right now it's impossible to see, but God is gonna work it out if you just believe. Remember this one thing while you're going through, If God delivered Daniel, He'll do the same for you". God isn't impressed with political clout, money, or prestige. The blessings He extends to one He can also give to you! When you have trust in Jesus Christ, He will grant you strength so that you may have endurance until the end!
Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

"Are You Ready For Exposer?"
One of the greatest athletes to ever pick up a basketball was Michael Jordan. From his early stages in the NBA, anyone could see that he would be a future Hall of Fame athlete. However, it wasn't until he made the game winning basket in the 1982 NCAA Championship game that Michael Jordan was really noticed on a national level. Once he made that shot he went from a person with talent to a person of destiny. Do you have a gift that hasn't been exposed yet? Are you waiting for your talent to be revealed?
Everyone has a God given talent or gift. Your talent is a natural innate ability to do something superior. Your talent can't be learned. It is something you have always had. Dig deep and discover your talent or gift. Don't be afraid of it. God gave it to you to bless you and the world! Using your talent or gift will add joy, success and fulfillment to your life. Allow God to expose your talent. When you let God in, He will bring out your BEST!
I Peter 4:10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

"Do You Know The Twins?"
Twins are two offspring resulting from the same pregnancy. They can be identical or fraternal. Some twins dress, look, and sound alike. But, many have strikingly different personalities. Yet when together, the synergy they create produces more success than if they worked alone. Do you know any twins? Have you met Grace and Mercy?
God has a set of twins named, Grace and Mercy! Grace is a free gift of unmerited pardon. Mercy is gratitude and steadfast love. Alone they are powerful! However, when in tandem with one another, they are a well of unbelievable blessings. Ask God for His grace and mercy. Upon request, God's blessings will comfort and rescue you in your time of need.
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

"Do You Believe In The Impossible?"
It easier to go along with the crowd, than to stand firm in what you believe. Some may try to discredit your beliefs when it doesn't align with theirs. Sometimes, even those closest to us are unable to see what we see. Are you being coerced to follow a crowd of limited thinkers? Are you capable of believing in the impossible?
God desires for us to think out of the box. He wants to show us the power of our faith. We have limited abilities, but all things are possible through God. Don't allow your circumstances to dictate your outcomes. God is bigger and greater than any situation you may encounter. When you place your belief in Christ, He will make the impossible possible.
Mark 9:23 Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."
