Default My grandfather gave me his ring

My grandfather has been in the hospital for the last 190ish days and he told me grandmother that he wanted me to have his ring. When I went to visit a couple weeks ago she gave it to me. It's not my style, but I always thought he looked cool wearing it. I think the flash makes the stones look a little cloudy because the flash is reflecting off the gold.

I'd vernture a guess of about 11 kt. or more. The large stones look larger than a karat. The "smaller" ones look about right for at least a karat. Wondering it it's 14 kt. in total diamonds?

+1! What a wonderful gift! Cherish it for a long time. Maybe some day you can pass it on to your grandkid.

    cant be TCW of 11....

id say just enjoy it and put it somewhere safe... or if you wanna wear it, take it to jeweler you trust and have them redo the ring and reset the stones..

Ditto! My Grandmother gave me my grandfathers ring a year ago, not at all my style but something I will cherish forever! My Brother got one as well many years ago (he's the oldest) and he was able to take the stones out and make it into his wedding ring! Looks amazing and very special to both of us!

My prayers are with your family!
