With you liking gold watches I'd get a two tone wedding ring IMO. Mine is white gold center with a smidge of yellow gold around the edge. That way I can wear it with whatever watch I want, and my A&M class ring (which is yellow gold).

Just me 2 cents. I'd also get something that isn't trendy. I'd go timeless, classic, just b/c you gotta wear it the rest of your life.
