    really?!?!?! wow, just curious as to how much? i just got my girl's ring fitted with a 3.0 E VVS1 and that thing made me BROKE.

    crazy how exponentially high priced these rocks get after 2 carats. and to think a flawless 3 carat! that'd be about $2-3M at Tiffany's. believe me, i checked, lol. glws, great price.

    Yes it gets nuts, diamonds themselves arent that rare, but certain cuts (ideal) size and clarity make them rare, the larger you go the rarer the stone hence the exponential jump. And yes places like Tiffany are on crack, but then again so are the people who buy from them. Tiffany is like any other jeweler, they buy from the same sources as I do, and outsource for a bunch of their work. That "in-house" stuff with the big houses is a myth.
