Advice? Pearl Rings.
Looking for just a rundown of what to look for I guess.
So I had bought a nice pair of pearl earrings for my girlfriend last year as part of a gift. She loved them. They weren't too pricey but I did get them from Tiffany's so I figure you probably pay more for the name then anything. I'd rather put that money towards some value if possible.
Since then I caught her raving over a girl I know's pearl ring. I remember it was fairly simple. This sparked an idea and maybe for once I could buy AHEAD for our 3 year anniversary.
She loves yellow gold so I guess ultimately I am just looking for a rundown on the actual PEARLS themselves. Price, difference (natural/cultured/?), anything to look for? I keep seeing different locales (Akoya, Freshwater, South Sea, and Tahitian) and 'types' so I guess I just want to know what I should be looking for.
If Jason or anyone deals in them or if anyone has bought pearls, just lookin' for a heads up I guess.
I'd be more than interested in having one made.
My budget would be on the lower end. I'll be spending quite a bit on a weekend away in Toronto as it is. Looking for value choices. Something she could use to educate/brag to her friends about.
