Thread: What's your take on black diamonds?

Anyone? I went to a Jay-Z concert last night and he had a beautiful black diamond jesus piece. What's your take on black diamonds?

They are cheap but they sure look pretty!

Sup Pfizzle...Im a big Jay-Z fan, going to see him locally here in Dec.

Black diamonds are more often then not highly included diamonds that have been enhanced to make them that black color. The enhancement process is called irradiation. Its neat looking to use them as accent stones, as well when you use all black stones with the black rhodium plating like the Jay-Z pieces and the Soulja Boy pieces it looks hot IMO. Black diamonds are relatively inexpensive, that being said I really like they way they look when using them as accent stones. Here is a piece I made for a L4P member where I used black diamonds as the eyes for the skull.

What's a Jesus head charm go for? You pretty much explained the look of the charm.

Nice I had one close to that. I am sure not the quality of diamonds this has in it but I wasnt looking to spend a ton

Well its really a relative question. Kinda like How much does a Porsche cost? It will be relative to the size of the piece as well as to how many stones used...when you are setting that many stones by hand it can get very expensive. i like the look of them as accent pieces, saw a dog tag with some that kinda got me turned on to them...not an everyday deal though

I hear that the black diamonds in the virgin islands are relatively cheap bc they are chemically enhanced. I also heard that there are black diamonds in a certain part of Russia and those are expensive, they are a very light black.
Any truth to this?
