    What company to buy top quality pearls from? Is Mikimoto the go to?

    Unlike diamonds, the pearl grading scale isn't universal or regulated. I'd go with the undisputed leader in the market....Mikimoto. My wife has a few pieces and haven't had any complaints whatsoever.
