    Default Recommendations for Phoenix area?

I am looking at a weekend out there soon and would like some recommendations. We typically stay in carefree, az when we go but I am looking to stay in the City this time. Phoenician looks decent and I have the points. Otherwise I would be looking to stay in the $500/nt range.

Stayed at the Phonecian the last few years and it is always nice! Only place I have stayed out there so the only one I can recommend! Service is excellent! Make sure and eat at City Hall. It is amazing!

TiSiBeast is the veteran local here, so I'd drop him a PM (although I think his new baby girl has made him MIA as of late).

Haven't stayed there, but I would have to second the Phoenician as THE place to stay.

If you want, let me know when you'll be in town and we can hit SGC. I got me some guest passes

Phoenician is the place to stay...definately.

If I am staying for more than 2-3 days I always rent a house. You can get an UNREAL house to rent for $900 to $1200 a week. We rented a 5000 sq foot house that is owned by some guy from Journey. It had every thing you could imagine, full viking kitchen, game room, huge pool, waterfall, hot tub, you name it. Was $1800 for 6 days. Can't beat it.

Thanks all. Hey Mike, where can I find info on these houses?
Also, I need to line up a round of golf while I am out there. I hear there is a course or two worth playing.
Bonehead, I will definitely be hitting up SGC. I am waiting to hear back from Terry.

    FRBO.com

For rent by owner. Tons of stuff there.

I don't have many golf hook ups out there to be quite honest. I have a small golf course out in Mesa but it is just a little muni. Nothing exciting.

I would always recommend the Troon courses, North or Pinnacle. Gray Hawk I used to have a big hook up at, but that relationship went away. Great courses there. Tons of great spots out there, even $50-$60 courses are generally pretty good.

If you are into Italian food a little place called Tuti Santi is a must. One of my favorite places anywhere. Not expensive by any means but great southern italian comfort foods. My grandfathers lives in Goodyear and is off the boat Italian. Loves that place. There is one in North Phoenix and one in Scottsdale. The one is Scottsdale is better than North Phoenix. Both very good though.

Haven't picked up the golf bug yet (just a matter of time), but I can second Tutti Santi. Great food and they give you a flaming shot glass of ouzo at the end to top it all off

    My favorite:

Thanks. I forgot all about the mega baller spot MTK went to. I will look into a reservation there.
