My wife and I are planning to take advantage of my mother-in-law's visit at the end of August and plan on having her babysit our 1.5 year old son for a few days. My wife and I haven't taken a trip together since he was born and man, do we need one.

I have Marriott points coming our of my ears and I know you can use them for Ritz properties, so we're thinking of a few days at the Ritz @ Central Park in NYC. Anybody stay here before? Any suggestions (or possibly better ideas)? We'd like to stay within a 4 hour driving range from DC just in case of emergencies. We're a little nervous since this is the first time away from the baby.
