One question maybe I missed it would you be able to watch forever or just for like 1 day????

The reasons this would be great is the same reasons you have a real home theatre kids, pause, drinking, comfort, friends, no annoying people.

If I want to watch a movie at 12am in my boxers I can.

I think people are missing the big picture here.
Yes it deff cost alot more than PPV stuff thats for sure. The higher end that you put out there is more like it.
Not forever you can buy it and watch once in a 24hour period.

I totally agree with you that people are missing the bigger picture.

So once in 24 hours but can you pause and rewind? At least pause? Would it be all movies? Or just some?

    1) $13.25 + taxes for 90 minutes of a potential sh!t movie, even though it gets 90% on RT.

Roughly $50-100 per movie and a few thousand for the server.

I have a home theater set up. People I know can get me new releases on dvd every other Friday. Good quality form the studio for 20.00 . I havent been in a sticky, smelly, baby crying, overpriced theater in years.
I have ran out of room for watches, Im now going to collect cars...

You had me sold until this.

If you are basically allowing for renting of the movie then for me its not worth it.

I have a decent home theater with a 92" projector and 5.1 Martin Logan setup which I am always upgrading because it is one of my passions. I actually found L4P through AVSForum and Cub411. So that should give you some idea that I'm a prime candidate for this type of service.

Now the reason you lost me was because I can just wait for the Blu-ray to come out and purchase it and have it forever. This is what we do now. My wife and I can't stand going to the movies anymore. It never fails when you go to the theater for a great new release that you get stuck next to the big fat person who won't move their arm; or the rude lady that talks through the entire film. At home I do not have to deal with this.

Now if your service were to offer the movie at theater quality, on release date, downloaded to a server provided by you, and then saved on the hard-drive forever to keep as your own. I'd be in for sure. Hell I'd pay up to $150 a month for that service or even $30 a movie.

But we both know there are ways around seeing movie's at home before they release in theaters. Hence why I have a Mac Mini connected to my theater. So until you can compete with those types of options, I'm not sure to many people are going to buy in, but I could be wrong.

Again, if you were to supply customers with say a Drobo, a GUI like Plex, and Theater Quality picture and sound on release dates for a standard price a month or per film to keep forever; you have a customer! Great idea and good luck!
