    Oh wow, when my parents purchased a 60-inch Sony WEGA TV around 6 years ago (in 2005) it litterally cost around 5-6k. Now an 84 inch 3D HDTV cost's 6k, lol. It just goes to show how rapidly technology is increasing.

    3D sucks, biggest waste of money I've spent. i cant wait for the first price drop on 4k displays....drool

    LOL at the folks that think this TV will sell for $6-10k. I wish hell I sell 1080p 85" plasma's for $25k easy. This TV will sell for $6k maybe in 8-10 years.

    LOL at the 8-10 years. Sharp has a 80" 3d coming out in April at $6500 RETAIL . Prolly $5k street price. Granted it's no 4kP but still a great TV. The current 80" 2d Sharp gets great reviews and can be bought off the net for 4K or under.

    LOL! Costco has 80" Vizio LED Tv's for $4300!
