Help pick my next remote.

Dont know much about the top 2 product but judging by the looks.. i would say go with the second because the screen looks much more clearer and easier to read.. and the iPhone would be a hassle because if your not there and people want to watch tv they wont have the "remote" to control it.. if the top one is touch screen the buttons just look to small to me.. anyway thats just my .02

I am currently in the process of re-doing all the A/V in my house.
Among switching to Samsung LEDs all around, integrating Popcorn Hour (since it is the only media product that supports iTunes audio and video while also being able to stream from a media server) and replacing all outlets/switches with Z-Wave compatible gear, I am upgrading from Harmony all around Harmony 1000s, Harmony 800 series, 500 series and ONEs, to NEVO products.
The NEVO S70 is Z-Wave compatible too, so it can handle all the low voltage stuff in your house that is Z-Wave compatible. It also has 802.11 built in for OTA updates, and even some cool online functions.
Nevo :: Products
PS: If you haven't used one of those giant remotes you showed, or like a Harmony 1000 series, don't. They look cool, but you'll tire of them quickly as they are far more unwieldy than you'd expect. Even in the homes I've built where we've used full Crestron and Control 4 products, the big remotes usually stay in the theater rooms for "cool" factor. The smaller, more intuitive ones go in the rest of the rooms.
Good luck.

I had the Harmony 1000 and threw them out. They were the biggest wast of money for me. I bought AMX because everyone loved them but it has taken forever to get it programmed so I just sold everything and figured I would get a remote I can easily program myself.
I will check out a smaller remote and the Nevo products. Truth is I just want something easy that works.

Urc Mx-880z
you might want to check out URC's MX-880Z. I have used it in numerous installs and it's very easy to program. here's a link to it.

Phillips Pronto
Great Remote, it's a bit harder to program and depending on the end user's application might be too much. If you are going to spend that much on a remote, you might as well go Crestron.
