The control4 product is great and offers many directions you can go and grow your control system. Coming from AMX this will be the closest option. iPhone app is great and I prefer it to any of their touch screens.

Universal is great stuff for the money, I personally do not like the feel or layout of their touch screen. I own and use daily a MX950 and it is ok, for the dollars (well free to me) it does the job well.

The best remote out there is the RTI T3Cv. It gives you the feel of a normal remote (with real buttons) and allows you to have a nice touch screen at the same time. This will be my next remote. (it runs on Zigbee too) T3-V Universal Controller - 433MHz

Everything. It was a slow, was very picky when it wanted to sync (99% of the time it never linked up) and would constantly freeze.

Hopefully they have fixed the issues but I was not impressed.
