    Shoot BuzzedHornet a PM. He is a control 4 dealer and really helped me with picking an installer and what to look out for. As for the system it is awesome, integrated into everything and Iphone controller FTMFW!!!

    Knick, sounds like my current setup, you with love the Sonos. I have the Niles set up and love it. XM/iPod/etc in every room is awesome

    I remember from some pictures I saw that the house you are building is quite big. Sonos is great but I would suggest to look at a fully integrated solution and go for AMX or Crestron. They can do what Sonos does but they can also control your Lutron system, shading system, HVAC, security, e.t.c Cost is high for a fully automated home but if done correctly you will love it and it will simplify your life. Control 4 is also good although not so customizable yet but for a big house where you want everything the choice is between AMX and Crestron.

    Just for info, I do this for a living and we sell/integrate all of the brands mentioned above. Sonos is great for audio and I love it because we can finish a project easily in a day, but if someone has the budget then he should look at the integrated solutions.

    Feel free to pm if you need any advice. I am thousands of miles away and I have nothing to benefit from this

    crestron is king, i have installed this system in most of Bank of Americas conference rooms.
