Nice looking theater. In the other thread you stressed how important room treatment is. Can you tell us what you used in your own room? You didn't mention your display device, what projector are you using?

Thanks guys! The walls and Ceilings are wrapped with Dynil (Dynamat) and the front where the three large grills there is Spunglass for to act as a Bass trap. Everything is insultated as well. The back wall is double walled with a gap as the Master is on the other side.

The other thing not shown is the drapery does wrap around and covers the opening to the theater; this is the weak point of the room but had to happen for looks. The drapery also help with the light reflection and sound also.

I currently have a basic Sony in there (720P) this replaced a VPLVW100 (1080P) which was on loan until it was sold by me. I am going to run the new JVC or maybe another Sony. The current projector will go to our masterbed.

For you guys building a theater the Dynamat architectual items are well work it (not affiliated) and my next home I will use truckloads.

    Thanks,

    Tyler
