gold Rush Preview... presenting upside down car!

This took 14 months and almost 1000 hours of labor to complete. Finish Line in Santa Clara did the upholstery, Sound Innovations in Hayward did all the audio componentry.
Specs:
Everything is Aluminum and Fiberglass to keep it light, the car is 40 lbs. lighter than stock, and weight distribution is now 55/45 (the seats saved 120 lbs, the amps added some weight in the rear of the car).
3 Steg Masterstroke MSK1500 amps - Front/rear are running at 2 x 200W at <0.026% THD, Sub amp is 1 x 800W <0.026% THD
Alpine F1 Status headunit remotely mounted faceplate in the ashtray area, the headunit itself is hidden away behind the screen. The screen is connected to the mac mini and the headunit and the dvd changer and is mounted on a servo controlled motor mechanism just like a factory headunit. We are using the dummy button next to the business card holder as the new eject button for the screen. We used a CAT 5 ethernet wire between the faceplate and the headunit for proper transmission because normal wire caused a glitchy screen display (CAT 5 ethernet wires are ultra low resistance - this is why you can make very very good speaker cables from them too).
Speakers are Focal Utopia BE front and rear (3 way front / 2 way rear)
Subs are Focal Utopia 8" (2 of them) - We are actually using the passive eq's from the focal speakers since they are awesome
Whole Headliner redone in Suede.
Recaro CS sportster seats reupholstered to match factory interior.
Interior trim redone as Sprint Blue with an aluminum grain.
Custom Shift knob with a button on the side as push to talk for the microphone.
And of course, Speak With Me's software inside the mac mini, which at this point has been very well tested in my other car, the Silver G35.
Now everyone knows why my car was missing for so long!
We have some rims which are going on the car in two weeks - Klassen 10.0 - brushed center with a gunmetal lip. Pics with those on will come in July/August (I'm kinda busy finishing our first product right now, the demo cars aren't as needed nowadays as they were in 2005 when we just started the company).Last edited by ajayjuneja; 06-02-2009 at 02:33 AM.
