:: L4P™ GARAGE OF THE MONTH - OCTOBER EDITION::
Luxury4play.com brings you Garage of the Month:: October Edition
Feature Garage: Marconi Automotive Museum
Location: 1302 Industrial Drive, Tustin, California 92780
FB Fanpage:Marconi Automotive Museum and Foundation for Kids - Museum, Event Venue - Tustin, CA | Facebook
Website: http://www.marconimuseum.org/default.asp?contentID=1
This month we are featuring the Marconi Automotive Museum. A small museum tucked away in Tustin, Ca. The museum is set up in a "Garage" style
atmosphere. The race history of a majority of the cars is enough to send any Track Head spinning in circles. From Ferrari F40's to Full Blown Formula 1 Race
Cars. The museum is open to the public but also they will hold private events there as well.
First opened in 1994 by Founder Dick Marconi, this Non-Profit Automotive Museum and Special Event Venue displays an impressive 30 million-dollar collection of historical, exotic, and classic cars. Our collection includes, but is not limited to, Super Bikes, Open Wheel Racing Cars (both Formula 1 and Indy), American Muscle Cars, Vintage Racing and High Performance Exotics.
The Marconi Foundation for Kids was started by our founder Dick Marconi in 1994. Marconi's philosophy, passed down from his father is simple yet defining:
Learn, Earn and Return. LEARN through a higher education, EARN through hard work and perservance, RETURN to others in need.
The Marconi Foundation for Kids is committed to giving a large percentage of the net proceeds, generated from Special Events and Individual and Group Tours to local children's charities. Through the many corporate and individual client partnerships, the Marconi Foundation for Kids will continue to strive toward the
goal of raising $1,000,000 a year for at-risk youth.

1991 Ferrari F40
Manufactured to celebrate 40 years of Ferrari automobiles, it is the "ultimate" Ferrari.

1974 Ferrari 365 GTS/4 (Daytona Spyder)
At 3,600lbs this Ferrari ws one of the heaviest cars to come from the Ferrari drawing board. This particular Daytona Spyder was custom built and first purchased for Cher when Sonny and Cher were still married.

1972 Ferrari 246 GT (Dino)
The Dino was named after Enzo Ferrari's son who died when he was a young boy. There is no Ferrari emblem or nameplate anywhere on the car. The root beer color is very rare. This car was the first Ferrari purchased by Dick Marconi

Schumacher F1
This car is the very car that Michael Schumacher drove the first year he raced for Ferrari. He has since completed three world championships

Ferrari FX
One of a Kind!!! Originally designed for the Sultan of Brunei. Formula 1 owner Frank Williams, designed the gearbox. Since it is such a complicated machine, in order to drive it one has to be trained by Ferrari specialists. Truly Priceless!!!

1996 Ferrari 456 Spyder
The 456 was a special project designed by Pinninfarina for the Sultan of Brunei; only two cars were built.

1950 Ferrari 195S
Only one 195S was produced from the factory, but four Mille Miglias were upgraded to 195S specifications. This is the 53rd car hand built by Enzo Ferrari. Dick Marconi, and his son John, raced this car in the 1988 Mille Miglia

1995 Ferrari F50
One of two in the museum, only 349 cars were made. This car was designed to celebrate Ferrari's 50 years in the car business. The F50 was created to show off the latest technologies; it’s V-12 engine was based on the 1987 Ferrari F-1 car

1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1
The Mustang Mach 1 was introduced to appeal to the “street performance” market.

This car was raced by Carrol Shelby and Dick Marconi at Willow Springs; it is also autographed under the hood by Shelby. The sound effects from this car were used in the film “Gone in 60 Seconds” starring Nicholas Cage.

1989 Lamborghini Countach
The Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary was the last Countach created and was replaced by the Diablo.

1955 Mercedes Benz 300 SL Gullwing
The 300 SL is one of the most memorable cars of the 1950’s; it’s Gullwing doors distinguish it from any other car. Photo by Biljana Milasin (Turville Photography)

1995 Ferrari F50
One of two in the museum, Mr. Marconi purchased two so that he could display the two distinct styles of the F-50: “Barchetta” open cockpit style and “Berlinetta” hard top. Photo by Turville Photography

1956 Cadillac Eldorado
The Cadillac is named after the founder of Detroit, “Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac”. The Cadillac was among the first cars to have standard power steering, tail fins, wrap-around windshield, and a signal seeking radio

2003 Aston Martin DB AR1 (On Loan)
The DB American Roadster 1 was a limited edition vehicle that was specifically for the California market. Only 99 were produced.
