Thread: 4 Post Lift: Take 2

After installing a cheap China sourced lift a few years back and watching it twist and bend and then seeing the Stradale nearly come off the thing when the cable unraveled, I quickly took it down and put in a Back Yard Buddy... one at the vacation house and one at home.

These BYB lifts are so much more bomber and confidence inspiring. So, my cars are foreign, my lifts are domestic.

And for those on in the Garage forum talking about raising garage door rails, this pic shows the approach I took on both the heavy wooden 1 and 2 car doors.

Curious why you have the 21 window on a lift? Doesn't really look like useful space below. You could get a few more inches if you backed it on the lift.

Yeah, the rack on the back of the Bus limits it when pulled in forward. We threw it on there as we were testing the install. When I back it on, the R8 or the Stradale or a the Ghia all fit.

Its actually a 23, not a 21... but who's counting?

You have 2 cars that I want really bad. Nice collection there. Love the 23 window and still trying to find a Defender.
