I had the same issue so I installed a hard rubber curb ramp. Problem is I live on a main thoroughfare, erecting something like this is forbidden. But heck, whose going to say no to the anger foreigner

I think i'm going to have to just get one and put it up without caring what the neighborhood says...

I remember when I wanted to eliminate mine and make it flat, it took the town 3 months to approve it.

its all such a pain... I dont see any problem with throwing down a rubber ramp like bridjit or the other few mentioned in this thread.
All of my neighbors would much rather have me get into my garage quickly then sit at the curb going 1 mph and having to hit the gas to work my way over the curb slowly because my car is anything but quite.

how about some sand bags. if complaint rises, just remove and you'll know.

enter the drive way at an extreme angle helps too.

Sandbags is a pretty good idea to test it out actually and my driveway is pretty narrow from the street because I have a gate and theres 2 big columns right infront so its hard to go in at a big angle.

Thanks for the sandbag idea i'll give it a shot

I feel your pain. I am actually in the exact same situation. I initially proposed my HOA allow for the Bridjit system, they said no and I said the hell with you and bought them anyways. It turns out the Bridjits will not work for wedge curbs like I have; they will only work for rolled curbs. Make sure you measure your curb and compare it to the ones listed on their website. I then proposed to cut out the curb and regrade the driveway which my HOA again denied. I appealed their decision and was granted approval with several contingencies which I am currently working out.

I live in Palm Desert, CA - if you live close you can borrow my Bridjits to see if they will work for you as they are just a 120lb paperweight to me now.

Secondly, fight your HOA/city on this. I did my research and beat them at their own game, its definitely cheaper than buying a new house (which I was prepared to do).
