Helping a friend look for a 360
Hey guys, I am helping a friend in a search for a new to him 360. We are in Florida. He has seen a couple out there priced in the mid 60s. Is that a feasible price or at that price should we be concerned? It seems as though most are priced in the 80s. Is there anything in specific he should keep an eye out for or be weary of? Any help is much appreciated. Preferably a coupe but convertible is an option if its the right car. Color is also flexible.
Thanks in advance!

I've been looking around as well...for $60k you are looking at HIGH mileage cars.
Just be sure he gets all service records. Ask about last service, when belts were last done, clutch life, other options, e.g. Tubi exhaust, Scuderia shields, power Daytona seats, Challenge grills, etc.

First of all,try to find out a car that has all the service records....Bad service may cost him a lot in the future...Prefer a car that has done recently service including belts...They cost a little bit...The clutch must have at least 60% left if he doesn't want to change it in a year or less...Check the gearbox for noises or strange feeling(if it doesn't get the gear)and the pump for the F1 gearbox(if equipped with this).Check the steering pump for noises when you turn the wheel standing and for leaks in the front system of the steering. Also check for any leaks in the engine. You may have to replace the gaskets of the valves if there are any leaks near the heads. Also, check the suspension and the suspension arms....Last,check the brakes to see if there are any cracks between the holes of the discs, and check the brake pads...Other ''usual'' problems are the center door lock system(sometimes it jams) and the alternator....I would say don't look at the extras of the car like seats etc...Try to find a car that has been treated and serviced good.... OK,the color and the interior must be very good(it's a Ferrari after all,she has to look good)...If there is an aftermarket exhaust fitted, make sure it meets the Ferrari requirements for the 360.If not,the rear Challenge grills may have to be fitted due to the extra heat the aftermarket exhaust produces....Don't laugh with that, many people i know have fitted aftermarket exhausts without fitting the rear Challenge grill...The result? The exhaust melted the wires that pass behind the exhaust, the car thought that the boot was open and as long as they have F1 gearbox,it won't get any gear if you don't close it.Something you can't do because the wires are off....I hope i helped you and your friend to get a proper 360.If you want any more info, feel free to ask me!
